And it is not by chance either that Trieste has become one of the biggest seaports in all of Europe for the import and export of coffee and which has become the home of the international Italian coffee company: Illycaffè, otherwise known as just Illy.

And with this tradition thrives an endless supply of coffee houses which provide the socially important meeting and gathering places that just cannot be found in the United States.

Therefore it was only fitting that as part of this wonderful interview that Jantiena and Mr. Veit Heinichen visit one of the most famous coffee houses in all of Trieste: the Caffè Tommaseo.
