You can now see the first program which covers the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze and the Officina Profumo – Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella!
Programs that have completed filming and which are now in post production include some of the following exotic and amazing locations throughout Florence, Italy:
Ristorante Sabatini: This is one of the most unique and great restaurants in all of Italy with a tradition of over 80 years which offers one of the finest florentine cuisines you will ever find. Although they claim that nothing is done to impress, and although from “their” standards this may be true, it is but a guarantee that you will not be leaving this restaurant without a jaw-dropping experience in terms of quality and service. From the moment you step in the door, you feel you have arrived safely to a home away from home, and you are treated with a level of unsurpassed service and quality that will warm your heart and provide your eyes and palette an experience unlike anything you have sensed before. The owners are driven by nothing less than a desire to provide the highest class of service and quality for every patron that walks in their doors and their level of professionalism and skill far exceeds the competition.
Casalbosco: Just outside the Chianti Classico region and 20 kilometers from the city of Florence lies 150 hectares of elegantly refined vineyards that are part of the Casalbosco winery. Located in one of the most picturesque regions of all of Tuscany, this winery is on the crossroads of all things interesting in the area of Chianti. The Becagli family has a strong bond with the Chianti territory and with their own wine expert on site, they take laborious efforts to only use the best, handpicked specimens of each of the following grapes: Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese, Chardonnay and Syrah.
Fonterutoli Winery: The Fonterutoli Winery is located 5 kilometers south of Siena in the Chianti Classico region. This winery has been owned by the Mazzei family since 1435 and still retains its original form. The Mazzei family is said to have first “fathered” the name Chianti in a commercial contract dated December 16,1398. One important historical figure of the Mazzei family was Filippo Mazzei (1730-1816) who was asked by his friend, Thomas Jefferson, future President of the United States, to plant a vineyard at his estate in Monticello, Virginia and thus planted the first vineyards in that part of the New World.
Villa la Massa: Owned and operated by the Villa d’Este Group, this is one of the Small Leading Hotels of the World. This 16th Century estate sits quietly on the Arno river in the heart of Tuscany; several kilometers away from the busy city of Florence. Originally a Medici family dwelling and over 500 years old, in 1998 it was fully renovated and restored to its renaissance splendor and is consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in the world. Its menus are under the direction of Executive Chef Andrea Quagliarella, who was previously at the Villa d’Este for 25 years.
Giusto Manetti Battiloro: This goldbeating company is considered one of the 25 historical companies in all of Florence, Italy – and what a remarkable and fascinating company this is! Goldbeating is the process of hammering gold into an extremely thin, unbroken sheet (gold leaf) for use in gilding (which is the application of gold leaf or powder to solid surfaces). The extraordinary durability and malleability of gold was first recognized over 5,000 years ago by the egyptians, but in the heart of Florence, in the 1800’s this process was taken up by Luigi Manetti when he bought a gold-beating shop and created the brand Giusto Manetti which has since become today the world leader in the production of gold leaf! Their beautiful work is excmplified in such beautiful monumental projects as the Kremlin, Rockefeller Center, on Versailles, in the Louvre, Buckingham Palace and many, many more. While in Florence, Italy, Jantiena sits down and has an interview with the President and CEO Bonaccorso Manetti and Sales Manager Edward Marten in the beautiful Villa la Massa estate concerning this extraordinary comapny: Giusto Manetti Battiloro.
