One of my favorite hotels in the world is the Ritz in Madrid, Spain. It is one of Madrid’s most exclusive addresses. The hotel became part of the Mandarin Oriental Chain and there are a lot a plans to do for the refurbishment. The hotel is a historical building built by King Alfonso in 1910 with the highest level of protection according the Spanish Law. The hotel is located opposite the Prado Museum, steps away from the Thyssen-Bornemizza Museum. And the Reina Sofia Museum.
I highly recommended to visit this Hotel and Madrid. See their Holiday Seasons Program for 2015-16. It’s an experience You never will forget!
The programs include
- Christmas Eve Dinner with Live Music
- Christmas Day Brunch
- New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner
- New Year’s Welcome Party with Live Music

There are a number of Children’s workshops as well:

With all these activates, there will be something for the while family for the holidays!
Built in 1910, this belle époque palace established Madrid as one of the truly great European cities. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the city’s major cultural, business, shopping and dining venues. A lively gathering place for Spanish high society, its restaurants and bars are a constant buzz of activity.
You could spend weeks in Madrid just visiting the world-class museums, so if you only have a couple of days, edit your stay to make the most of your trip. Although it is cold in winter (it is the highest capital city in Europe, after all), the bright blue skies and dazzling light make sightseeing and shopping a joy. Allow plenty of time for drifting around the tapas bars, too – an experience that counts as part of the local culture.
